How I Learned to Tune Into My Body to Trust My Natural Instincts and Intuition

Hey Gorgeous!

I recently caught up with Stacey  ~ I had the pleasure of helping Stacey create a business that was truly aligned with her passion and purpose.

She was getting stuck in self-doubt, procrastination and overwhelm when she tried to take action on her business.

Together we helped her remove the inner blocks that were getting in the way so she could move forward with ease and confidence.

Check out our interview below!

Hey Stacey, so what did you come to life coaching for?

I came to life coaching feeling a little lost in my current world, knowing that I wanted to do bigger things in the world but not quite knowing what or how. I would have moments of deep motivation and creative drive around what was possible for my life, and then as soon as I felt ready to make that a reality, I would be overcome with self doubt or knocked down by the limiting beliefs of others, leaving me wondering if I was just a big dreamer after all.

I felt very alone in my personal development journey and frustrated that despite the knowledge I’d gained on personal transformation and the psychology of our egos, I was still living my fairly “ordinary” life. This left me feeling like a poser when all I craved was an authentically, self expressed life.

What was the solution you discovered through the process?

The biggest take away from my journey with Alycia was learning to tune into my body and trust in my natural instincts and intuition. The body is a powerful vessel that can serve as our connecting point with the universe/higher consciousness. We just need to figure out how to stop living in our heads and face the music of our deepest fears and greatest passions that are constantly speaking to us through the body.

Sitting in our emotions can be terribly uncomfortable at times. I had periods of waking up with suffocating anxiety wishing for all the world to just numb or remove the discomfort, but with Alycia’s gentle and persistent guidance I was able to trust that this too would pass, and that I might even learn something deeply insightful about myself or the world while sitting in open acceptance.

How does it feel to have this problem handled?

It feels absolutely surreal knowing the power we hold within us and how we can better tap into this when we gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for the blocks that are getting in our way.

Discovering that all the confusion, overwhelm, and decision anxiety I had been facing was mostly due to a battle between my own deep wisdom/power and a disabling fear of what others saw as “the right decision” meant that I had to face my limiting beliefs around my own worthiness.  All the responsibility was on ME. This was scary at first, but mostly exhilarating, freeing, and empowering.

This took me from feeling heavy and bogged down day-to-day to feeling light, open, and free.

What was the most powerful part of this experience for you?

The most powerful part of this experience was having the support to step into my truth. Alycia quite literally was one of the only people that I felt truly understood me and where I was at in life.

Even through the phone she literally has the gift to feel what you’re feeling in your body!

As much as I’d love to believe we can “do it on our own” I’ve discovered that as soon as you’re about to level up in the world, the universe tests you and you find yourself facing bigger challenges (internal or external) than you currently know how to deal with.

This is where having a mentor or coach who can bring their experience and outside perspective is beneficial to help accelerate the process of moving through the stumbling blocks and deeper fears (and to call you on your bullsh*t!!).

Ultimately, we are all here to contribute something to the world, and when we give, we receive back in abundance. Being open to receiving help and moving from a “I can do it on my own” mindset was a huge take-home lesson for me.

What would you say to someone who was thinking about life coaching with Alycia?

I would say, if you’re on the fence, there is absolutely NO way the money or time would be a waste. The worst thing that could happen is that you’d stay where you are, but the only way that would happen is if you are not willing to put in the work.

Have your “why” strong in your mind (your reasons for wanting to transform your life) as you move forward into a coaching relationship and it’ll be the catalyst you need to break the ceiling into an entire new way of living, seeing yourself and being in the world.
