Kiran Chatha is amazing.
I had the pleasure of working with her a couple years ago and we recently caught up to talk about her experience with coaching and what she is up to now!
What did you come to coaching for?
I came to coaching because I was lost. I had gone through an unexpected break up from a 6 year relationship and didn’t know what direction I was going in. My world was completely rocked and all I knew was that I needed support. At the time I didn’t even know what I was looking for, I just knew I needed help and healing.
What was the solution you discovered through the coaching process?
I discovered a sense of inner strength that I did not know I had. I was putting a lot of power into my external circumstances – for example my relationship, my family/friends, and my work. I had put so much importance on what was going on outside of me that when one of those things suddenly went in a different direction I had no clue how to handle it. After my experience with you I realized that my inner world dictates so much of what happens in my outer world. A discovery that has since changed the way I live my life.
What was the most powerful part of this experience for you?
The first day I met you! I was in a hurry and was stressed because I was worried I wasn’t going to be on time. I was feeling super unsettled and a bit heightened. I remember you suggested that we do meditation which you guided me through to calm me down and that really made me notice what I was feeling.
As I was going through the meditation my energy was shifting into something else. I was noticing a really intense feeling inside me – at that moment you said, “Did you feel that?” I felt so seen… I realized that the energy inside me doesn’t really go unnoticed by others. It’s that unspoken language that impacts so much of my surroundings and for you to have felt it made me look at that energy as something I couldn’t dismiss or ignore anymore – I had to address it.
What is the biggest change you have noticed about yourself since beginning coaching together?
I see challenges a lot differently now. I see them as lessons that life is trying to teach me instead of getting upset immediately. I am happy. I mean really happy. My life isn’t perfect but I accept it the way it is. I learned that I can handle anything as long as I slow down to pay attention to my inner guides. I have the belief in myself that I can handle any challenge that may come my way. I feel way more empowered.
A huge thank you to Kiran for being willing to put it all out there and share her story with us!
